The Finish Line is Near….So Very Near

Before I get to the CNC project, I want to send a warm CONGRATULATIONS to my sister-in-law, who just had her little baby boy on Friday!

Welcome Baby Isaiah, I can’t wait to see you!

Beyond the joys of the new baby Thomas, we experienced the joys of nearing the finish line at the CNC.

Saturday, my good friend Dolores Thibault-Muñoz, former CNC Executive Director, was on hand to help with the painting.

While us ladies yapped and painted away, both her children AND my children busied themselves in the center.

 

I’d love to say my son was busy reading and increasing his intelligence. However, I was a horrible mother and let him play video games most of the day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, I kept my daughter occupied by switching her between her walker and her swing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday, my husband, back from visiting his sister and new nephew, was on-site to help me. He refreshed my son’s memory on how to use the miter saw and, together, they mitered the floor molding and window trim.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What’s left to do (this list is for my sake more than for your information)

  • More coats for the floor trim
  • Hang molding inside cubicle
  • Mount flyer and brochure holders on the wall
  • Hang curtains
  • Hang white board monthly calendar
  • Purchase a used coffee table
  • Purchase a vase for those sticks seen in the background
  • Hang art (photos of the Cleghorn Neighborhood)
  • Clean

Basically, there’s not much to do.

Just some finish work. But here it is so far…..(don’t the chairs look awesome?)
